As long as I can remember, I was always drawing something or building model cars. I watched with amazement when my Dad would pencil out a WWII "Kilroy Was Here" symbol, not knowing it was my first contact with a logo. Then Ed “Big Daddy” Roth became famous with his hand-built custom cars and “Rat Fink” character, reinventing American hot rod culture. After placing 3rd in a Car Craft Contest with my rendering of “Rat Fink”, I was hooked. I even had “Big Daddy” autograph my original 1962 magazine! Before I knew it, I was at SUNY, transferred to UNT, studied graphic design under the watchful eye of Dr. Mack Vaughn, and met Kathy, my wife and soulmate of 47 years, in class. We work together at our design firm, are active residential and commercial real estate investors and are members of various non-profit organizations that strive to improve the quality of life in Dallas.
